Oak Cottage has a fenced in garden. Our cottages are located on the edge of the village on a secluded five acre site surrounded by fields and trees. They are 300 yards from the nearest road.A rural location but only 20 mins from the North Norfolk coast and 30 minutes from Norwich. The eight properties on this working arable farm are converted from traditional Norfolk flint barns and stables, and retain many original features. They share access to a large enclosed paddock with play equipment (tree house, sopring free trampoline with net, climbing frame, zip wire and so on), a 5-a-side football pitch, indoor games room and barns to play in. Oak Cottage itself is a spacious two bedroomed single storey cottage (one king, one twin). There are stunning views across the fields towards the setting sun from the large beamed kitchen/living/dining room. The refurbished kitchen is very well equipped and French doors lead onto a small patio area at the back, then to a relatively private garden.
Out and about visit Blickling Hall - an amazing stately home, fabulous sandy beaches, steam railways, take a walk around the nearby Baconsthorpe Castle or go crabbing at Blakeney Quay. There are other famliy attractions including the Dinosaur Park, seal spotting boat trips, Wroxham Barns, Banham zoo, Norwich Castle Museum, the list goes on...
The 8 cottages offer plenty of privacy as well as a sociable environment for families/friends holidaying together. The large outdoor areas provide a safe space for all children. The child friendly Pigs Freehouse pub is a mere 10 minutes walk, Tesco and Waitrose deliver and we can organise babysitting. Child friendly items (eg nightlights, bedguards) are shared between cottages, so please state your requirements when booking. Some properties are 'dog-free' - see our website for details.
