The vaulted, open-plan living area is reverse living, with wall to wall glass and sliding doors to the balcony overlooking Somerford Lagoon, the largest lake on the Estate. With stair gates on both sets of stairs, and a high glass fronted balcony, a toy box, children's books and DVDs and plenty of space, your children can play safely whilst you relax and enjoy the breathtaking view. There are two kings, two twins and a child's bedroom with a small, low child's bed and barrier. Luxury mattresses, fluffy towels and Egyptian cotton sheets help you rejuvenate. If you need more, then the on-site spa, just three minute's stroll away offers over 50 pampering treatments for parents (extra). The children are welcome in the heated indoor and outdoor swimming pools. The modern kitchen has all that you need - a family-sized fridge freezer, 5 hob double oven, microwave, dishwasher and washer-dryer. As well as child cutlery and plates, there is a steriliser, bottle warmer and blender

The Estate ethos is family-friendly. You leave the car (parking just outside) and then walk to the shop, playgrounds, petting area, and spa. There are lots of country walks around the private nature reserve with hides dotted around so you can spot the otters, kingfishers and beavers. Located in the Cotswold Wildlife Park, you can sail, kayak, fish, ride or play golf. A short car journey takes you to soft play area, farm, Cotswold Wildlife Park, model railway and miniature village

Other notes for parents

Lower Mill Estate is a gated environment, where cars are discouraged. There are seven lakes and the River Thames runs through the Estate (just three miles from its source). There are lots of walks through the nature reserve. In the school holidays, the Estate runs a range of family-friendly activities including painting competitions, nature walks, family cycle rides and the infamous annual duck race! It goes without saying that there is open water!
