An original holiday cottage converted from the stable block and with an ingenious design to make the most of the available space, this cottage is ideal for a family group. Upstairs there is a twin room with views to the lake off the double, which is itself interestingly adjacent to the open staircase. The downstairs double is next to the bathroom, making it convenient for grandparents. The living room/dining room/kitchen space includes the log-burning stove in its feature fireplace and double doors onto the fenced garden. A dishwasher and freezer is also provided. Full night storage electric heating throughout this cottage. Lovely views over the Stour Valley from the cottage and its garden, enjoy the charcoal BBQ and South-facing sunshine! Pets and smokers welcome. Shared facilities included indoor pool, tennis court and playground.
If you have your buckets and spades, we are only half an hour from the sea at elegant Frinton. You mustn't miss Constable Country's heritage villages; Kersey, Lavenham and Chelsworth are famous for half-timbered medieval houses and find 'wool churches' or Long Melford, renowned for its antique shops and the National Trust's Melford Hall. Bustling Colchester, Britains oldest recorded town, is only 10 minutes away.
