Child Friendly Cottages is a unique collection of child-friendly self-catering holiday cottages across the UK.

Designed and run by parents for parents, Child Friendly Cottages aims to help you quickly find the best self-catering cottage for your family holiday.

Launched in March 2007, Child Friendly Cottages is different from other website advertising directories in that it only features those cottages that welcome children under the age of five and are baby friendly, toddler friendly and preschool child friendly. The information provided about each cottage is also distinctive as it is specifically selected to help parents make an informed choice.

As a minimum, every cottage featured has a cot, highchair, bath and/or baby bath, microwave, washing machine/laundry facilities, central or storage heating, parking close by and buggy access. In many cases, child friendly cottage owners have gone to far greater lengths to keep the little people safe and happy, providing facilities such as outdoor toys, dressing up boxes, socket protectors or even blackout lining! Several cottages also have facilities to entertain older siblings, such as games or a pool table. Other cottages offer options for parents such as babysitting services or on-site catering.

The website includes baby friendly and toddler friendly holiday cottages across England - including Devon, Cornwall, the Peak District, the Lake District, the Cotswolds, Yorkshire and the north east. We are however still building our database of cottages so please let us know if you have a cottage that you would recommend for inclusion. We are particularly looking for properties in Wales and Scotland.

It is important to note that Child Friendly Cottages does not own or operate any of the properties advertised on this website. All bookings are made directly with the cottage owner – each advert contains all the contact information you need. You pay no commission or booking fee, so in general save money compared to booking via an agency.

Time is precious as a parent, and rather than waste it looking at many different websites, we hope Child Friendly Cottages will enable you to quickly find the best self-catering cottage for your family holiday.
